March 3: Psalm 107: A Song of Deliverance
Introduction
Psalm 107 is a beautiful hymn of thanksgiving, celebrating God’s unfailing love and wonderful deeds. It gives us an opportunity to reflect on how God delivers His people from different troubles they encounter.
Journey Through the Sea
The psalm commences with a scenario of a group lost at sea, their courage melting away in fear and dismay. Yet, at their cry for help, God calms the storm and leads them to the harbor.
Key Verse: “Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper…” (vs. 28-29)

The second portrait is of wanderers in the wilderness, starving and thirsty, calling on the Lord for salvation, and God answers, leading them to a city where they could settle.
